The Juggling Act

Wow! It's been a really long time since I have even attempted to make a post here. Life is nothing but busy for me these days. If feel like it can be compared to a juggling act sometimes. You know, one of those elaborate acts with tons of balls and the juggler somehow keeps them all up in the air? Except, I am not quite a professional juggler yet. A few of those balls fell out of the act (the blogger ball) and rolled away and collected some dust on it. I guess I found the ball today and blew the dust of and decided to try to get it into the act again!

Having two kids is wonderful and exhausting at the same time. My daughter just turned 2 and my son just turned 2 months. She always wants me to play, he always wants me to hold him and I always want to sit around and veg out. If anyone ever thought that being a stay at home parent was a simple job, they must have never tried it for themselves! (although, if I had a job too then I would imagine that I would feel even more overwhelmed at times!) Oh, and then being sleep deprived on top of that makes it even more exhausting! But seriously, it has been a great experience. My daughter just loves her brother. She has really shown no jealousy towards him. She hugs and kisses him and tells him that she loves him. It's really a beautiful thing to see. And just the other day I saw him express some love for her! He just started watching her and smiling at her. It just melted my heart when I saw him do that!

Oh, and there is also the photography ball that I like to try and keep in the act. I have still been making some cash from it so that make me happy. I got accepted to another agency, istockpro.com, where I can sell my high resolution stuff. I have a small collection for sale there, but I really need to add to it. I really haven't had much time to take pictures. I'll get there though!

And then someone throws a sharp knife into the juggler's act...I had to buy a new car. My poor 10 year old Cavalier just couldn't hang on any longer. I loved that car, it was my first brand new vehicle. But, over the past year it kept sporadically stalling on me. I would never know when it was going to restart. Sometimes it would start right back up and sometimes it would take a half an hour. A tune up didn't take care of the problem. And I had a car in the past the past that did the same thing. Every time I took it to get looked at they couldn't find anything since it would be running fine at the time. Since I have two small children, I just couldn't risk being out with them and breaking down. So, I got another Cavalier. It's nice. I just wish this snowy, cold weather would break so I could use it and get us out of the house once in a while!

My husband and I have our first date (another ball that falls out of the act!) planned since the arrival of our son! It's not for a couple of weeks but we sure are looking forward to a nice, uninterrupted, quite dinner alone...for a change!

I wouldn't change my life for a second. It may be hectic, but it's wonderful!
